Providence Business News Selects RIEDC’s Julian Dash as 40 Under Forty Winner

The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) today announced that the Providence Business News has named the agency’s director of the Renewable Energy Fund, Julian Dash, as a 40 under Forty winner.

Dash is one of 40 young professionals, business and nonprofit leaders chosen from more than 120 applicants nominated in 2009. Candidates are recognized based on career success, community involvement and a commitment to making a difference.

“We’d like to congratulate Julian on his success,” said J. Michael Saul, interim executive director of the RIEDC. “We are lucky to have such an accomplished and dedicated young professional working on the RIEDC team.”

As the director of the Renewable Energy Fund, Dash manages the distribution of grants, loans and other financing for renewable energy projects that produce electricity in a cleaner, more sustainable manner and stimulate job growth in Rhode Island’s economy.. As an active member of the community, Dash serves on numerous professional boards, and has spearheaded community projects and statewide initiatives. 

Dash, along with the 39 other winners, will be recognized at the 40 under Forty Awards Ceremony at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport on July 30. He will also be profiled in the August 3-9 print edition of the Providence Business News.
